Suicide Squad: Jim Parrack Is The Joker's Bodyguard

Will play Jonny Frost in next year's ensemble movie.

Thought working at Jurassic World was the worst movie-job going? Think again. Thanks to the fine chaps at Screenrant we now know who Jim Parrack will play in Suicide Squad; Joker€™s bodyguard Jonny Frost. Let that sink in for a moment. Joker€™s bodyguard. As in The Joker. You know, pencil wielding wacko who just wants to watch the world burn? Jeez. Hope it comes with dental. The scoop comes courtesy of co-star Corina Calderon, who tweeted:
€œAll #HappyCamper on my way to set again, going earlier than my #CallTime just to be there and watch my boy Jim Parrack playing #JonnyFrost do his Thang #SuicideSquad.€
Calderon€™s own part is largely unknown (although we know she€™s called Grace) but the actress has erased any doubts over Parrack€™s contribution. The tweet has since been deleted, but as Josh Trank can attest, the internet€™s printed in ink not pencil.
I can€™t pretend to be an expert on the Frost character, but I do know he plays a sizeable role in the well-received 2008 graphic-novel Joker. The source shares creative DNA with Suicide Squad€™s director David Ayer, namely a penchant for grime, nastiness and dark humour, so maybe this gives us a little extra insight into what we should expect tonally from the film. The Frost character certainly sounds like he€™s going to have his work cut out for him, and it€™ll be interesting to see what motivates him to protect Joker. Is it a product of dramatic necessity or is he just wacky enough to want to hang around a sociopathic, bloodthirsty clown? Parrack will have to be on badass form either way. You can oversee the (likely short-lived) career of Jonny Frost next August in Suicide Squad.
