"That's my teddy!"

Say what you want about the DCEU, but even the most controversial films have a level of attention to detail that is quite unprecedented. Even years on from the release, fans are still decoding things from Man Of Steel, Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad and there's probably still more in there to be found.

The latest discovery comes courtesy of a Suicide Squad fan who found an Easter Egg in the background of the Joker's therapy scenes with Dr Harleen Quinzel. Over on a bookshelf in the background is a teddy bear that proves that David Ayer really knows his onions. Well, his Joker background onions, to be more specific.

The bear is called Bruce and was the Joker's therapy bear as introduced in Peter Miriani and Szymon Kudranski’s one-shot Joker story “Reality Check,” from which Ayer took some of the dynamic between Quinzel as a therapist and the Joker as her patient. And it's a truly great little touch that the director himself appears to have confirmed.
