Suicide Squad Trailer: The Breakdown [VIDEO]

Wait, Will Smith's the lead?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E5gL6NgWbWg When the Suicide Squad First Look leaked from Comic-Con last year, Warner Bros. were very reluctant to put it online, and now we know why - that early rough cut, with it's rather dark tone, is nothing like the finished movie. The "Official Trailer" has hit the web in all it's colourful, comic glory, and let's just say the movie now looks like a very different beast. There's a lot of new footage in the trailer, giving a better sense of what David Ayer (who did excellent work on End Of Watch and Fury) has cooked up for his off-kilter entry in the DC Extended Universe. There's also a lot more Harley Quinn, with Margot Robbie's take on the Joker's assistant looking to be a major scene stealer. There'll no doubt be more trailers to come for the film as we near its August release date, giving us a better sense of the plot beyond bad guys team up against other bad guys (although hopefully not as much as Batman V Superman has given away), but for now let's take a look at everything in this awesome trailer. Check out the video above for our breakdown discussion, covering everything from the bright colours and Queen soundtrack to why Will Smith's headlining the whole thing. Is this just a good trailer or will the movie itself actually be awesome? Watch and find out. What did you make of the Suicide Squad trailer? Enter the discussion down in the comments. Suicide Squad is in cinemas from 5th August.
