Super Bowl 2019 Trailers: 10 Things We Learned

10. Key & Peele Seem Totally Out Of Place In Toy Story 4

Pixar dropped a new teaser trailer for Toy Story 4 immediately following the Big Game, which formally re-introduced Little Bo Peep (Annie Potts) while depicting Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) in a sticky situation after ending up mistaken for a fairground prize.

Here Buzz comes across new characters Ducky (Keegan Michael-Key) and Bunny (Jordan Peele), leading to a shockingly unfunny gag where Ducky shouts while trying to kick Buzz in the head and getting his comeuppance via the space ranger's space helmet.

As hilarious as Key and Peele can be, they just feel woefully out of place in this film: their abrasive comedy style doesn't mesh well with the tone of the Toy Story franchise at all.

Moreover, it makes Toy Story 4 look like what everybody feared: a generic, homogeneous studio sequel churned out for some easy cash.
