Why He Could: He's young, good-looking, and has an intensity burning through his eyes that'd been clear ever since he hit it big as Tim Riggins on Peter Berg's show Friday Night Lights.
Why He Won't: However, two high-profile box office flops will be a massive road-block for him to overcome; John Carter and Battleship dive-bombing in close succession has caused some quarters to refer to Kitsch as "box office poison", suggesting that, for one reason or another, he just turns audiences off. It's that, or he's been unlucky to be cast in two terrible projects, which is just as likely an answer, even if that's not really going to be good enough an excuse for Warner to take a chance on him.
