His Role in the Film: Cyberdyne employee Miles Dyson, the man whose work would ultimately lead to the creation of Skynet.
In the Years Since: Morton cropped up in big screen affairs like Speed and its sequel, Blues Brothers 2000, the 2001 biopic Ali, the Ben Affleck-led thriller Paycheck, and Ridley Scott's American Gangster. On top of that, he's appeared in shows like The X-Files, Law & Order, Smallville, House, Boston Legal, and The Good Wife, and played Henry Deacon throughout all five seasons of Syfy's Eureka.
As of 2016: Since 2013, Morton has been a part of Scandal, starring as Olivia Pope's father Eli, and earlier this year had a role in HBO's All the Way, which featured a cast including Bryan Cranston, Melissa Leo, and Anthony Mackie. Most notably, however, he had a cameo role as Silas Stone - father of Victor 'Cyborg' Stone - in Batman v Superman, a role he'll undoubtedly reprise in Cyborg's standalone film in 2020, though recent rumors have suggested that he'll be turning up earlier than that as part of next year's big Justice League film.
