Terminator: Dark Fate Trailer 2 Review - 7 Ups & 2 Downs

The day after Judgment Day looks surprisingly promising...

Paramount couldn't let Judgment Day (29 August) pass without using it as a marketing tool to promote the upcoming sixth instalment in the Terminator franchise, Dark Fate. So, after a full day of asking fans what Terminator meant to them, they released a second trailer which asked us to think about what happens after Judgment Day.

Now, as any long-suffering Terminator fan will know, the previous three films in the franchise have provided us with varying degrees of entertainment and yet completely failed to recapture the elements that made the first two so perfect. While that would raise questions about whether or not Hollywood should be continuing the franchise, it hasn't stopped the-powers-that-be at Paramount from resurrecting it one more time.

The first trailer for Terminator: Dark Fate received a rather mixed response - which taking all things into account, is a major improvement over how the previous films' trailers went down - but in spite of the awesome return of Linda Hamilton, it didn't do all that much to build a case for the film's existence. But can the same be said for the second?
