That Was Princess Leia In The Star Wars: The Force Awakens Trailer

Costume reveal confirms a fan theory.

Star Wars news at the moment is dominated by those quite frankly jaw-dropping Battlefront gameplay trailers, which has meant this pretty major character reveal has slipped under the radar somewhat. That Hashtag Show have uncovered images of Princess Leia (although she'll surely have a different official title by now) in her Star Wars: The Force Awakens costume. This is the first look a Carrie Fisher reprising her most iconic role and kinda fits what you'd expect from a royal war vet. Check out the YouTube video below for their full story. What's really interesting about the costume is that this isn't actually the first time we've seen those clothes - they were worn by the recipient of Luke's old lightsaber in the second teaser that hit back in April. Many had assumed this was Leia back then (especially given the timing of the voice-over), but the new reveal pretty much confirms it, suggesting a lot about Ms. Organa Solo's part in the film's plot - she's likely going to be estranged from her twin. Now we've got a glimpse of Han and Leia, all that remains is a proper look at a probably bearded Luke. Next trailer perhaps? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FMFhWXp_WAI Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits cinemas on December 18th.
