The Batman Films In 2019, Oscar Isaac IS Interested In Starring

Star Wars star hasn't spoken to Matt Reeves, but he's keen...

Warner Bros.

While The Batman has struggled in production for some time, it now looks like Matt Reeves and Warner Bros are getting their ducks in order a little more.

Apparently, the film - which is planned to release in 2021 - will actually film before the end of the year, in line with Reeves' previous comments about when it would head into production. The latest report says that will be in December.

And in other The Batman news, Oscar Isaac was asked about the reports linking him to the role of Bruce Wayne recently and he's given an interesting response. Speaking to Metro on the publicity trail for Netflix's Triple Frontier, he debunked the rumour that he had previously spoken to the studio about playing Bruce Wayne in the wake of Ben Affleck's departure from the role.

Crucially though, he said he would be keen to do so:

No. I have only read it online like everyone else. I haven’t had any conversations about Batman, unfortunately, but I am sure it is going to be great. Matt Reeves is such a great director. Yeah, he can get my number.
