The Captain America: Civil War Trailer Will Arrive Next Week

UPDATED

UPDATE: Looks like HH's source was a bit off - the common thinking now is that the trailer will debut with Star Wars: The Force Awakens. So a bit longer I'm afraid. We've seen Batman V Superman (twice). We've seen Suicide Squad. We've seen Deadpool. Now it's Marvel's turn: according to Heroic Hollywood, the first trailer for Captain America: Civil War is set to be attached to the cinema release of Spectre in Russia, which probably means it'll make its way online some point in the week leading up to Bond 24's 6th November release. Footage of the third Captain America was shown at this year's D23 Expo and AsiaPop ComiCon, but there's not been any official, widely-released material of the film yet so this should be very exciting. Expect to get a taste of the conflict between Cap and Iron Man that will divide the Avengers and a sense of what the movie's plot actually is (while it's based on the comic arc of the same name, it's not going to follow it as faithfully as some may hope). What I'd say is unlikely is a glimpse of Tom Holland's Spider-Man - they may not pull a Luke Skywalker, but it's a fair bet Marvel will hold him back until later in the campaign. That'd certainly be nice as, in recent years, Marvel's marketing has been shown as both brilliant and terrible. They are great are getting hype fire started, but as we barrel towards release all too often they give too much away, leaving us with a sense that we've actually seen the whole film long before sitting down in the darkened cinema. Let's hope that, after that issue being rather prominent on both Avengers: Age Of Ultron and Ant-Man, they've learnt a lesson - no dream deaths presented as real here please. Captain America: Civil War is out on 29th April 2016 in the UK and 6th May in the US.
