The Dark Knight Rises is Empire's Cover Issue For May

Online glimpse at issue also reveals several brand new images from the film.

Available for purchase on May 31st in stores and on the iPad, the new issue of Empire Magazine will feature 23 pages of "The Dark Knight Rises" glory along with brand new images from the film. The issue will feature two exclusive covers: one featuring Batman with the other showing off Catwoman. Apparently there will also be "giant sized" posters included in every issue utilizing the same images from the covers. Other new images exclusive to the magazine show off Batman on the Bat-Pod with his EMP blaster strapped to the back axel. Another shows Catwoman standing on the opposite side of a cage from Batman who looks to be ready to cross that metal bridge Bane is walking down in the trailers. Perhaps she turned on our caped hero and trapped him or just got locked out so Batman would have to be on his own. Another image shows Bruce Wayne seemingly showing off Wayne Tech gizmos to Marion Cotillard's Miranda Tate character. Clearly Bruce is not the most subtle guy in town. The most exciting draw of the upcoming issue is an exclusive behind the scenes report from the set of The Dark Knight Rises. Apparently the article is quite long and detailed and should shed some light on what went down in Pittsburg at Heinz field as well as other tidbits. Here's a few more images though to further whet your appetite in our new gallery; The Bat-issue of Empire arrives on May 31 but you can get a sneak peak over at Empire Online's site.
