Two new tv spots for “The Dark Knight Rises” have shown up on the wonderful Internet along with some new banner posters.
Most of the footage in the TV spots is of course mostly taken from the trailers that have already been released. The big news is that new little tidbits are also present.
We get to see Bruce Wayne doing some push ups. Alfred explaining to Bruce that it takes a while to get back in the swing of things. Selina Kyle stealing Bruce Wayne’s car by telling the valet that she is his wife and the look on Christian Bale’s face is priceless. We also get a tip that Bruce is aware that Selina is a cat-burglar and that Alfred knows of Bane’s origin of being born and raised in Hell.
These are amazing little nuggets to start being all kinds if picked apart by fans everywhere.
We also see Bruce asking Lucius Fox to help him get back in the game. Clearly Bruce has been out of the picture for some time indeed but is evidently ready to rise!
The lighter side of things is refreshing and nice to see in these tv spots. Of course I prefer Batman to be dark and surely Rises will be. But as we know from the first two Nolan films, the humor and character interactions make these movie shine with that special kind of glow that can only be pulled of by team Nolan. Enjoy the new tv spots because as I’ve said before, Rises news is only getting better and better!

Man, I’m kinda afraid John Blake is definitely going to take over as Batman for at least a significant portion of TDKR if not for the rest of the foreseeable Nolan-Batman universe – the Bane + army vs Bats + SWAT posters definitely imply that to me, unless the John Blake theory is bogus and Bruce Wayne wins over the police but that seems unlikely given all the other elements. Not that that’s a bad thing or that the movie is spoiled, I’m sure it’ll still blow me away, but going into it with this suspicion will keep it from being the experience I had going into TDK with zero information or exposure other than knowing Ledger played The Joker.
On a related note, I wonder how Ras and Talia Al Guhl are going to play into all this…
A round of applause for your article post.Much thanks again. Great.
