THE EXORCIST voted The Greatest Horror Movie of All-Time

As written by OWF's Adam Rayner in a review of the recently released Blu-ray;

Often imitated but never bettered, Friedkin and Blatty€™s €˜The Exorcist€™ is still the greatest horror film ever made.
And boy have you guys proven him right this month! The creepy, atmospheric and genuinely chilling 1973 classic The Exorcist has been voted the Greatest Horror Movie of All-Time in the poll we've been running as part of our 31 Days of Horror season. A massive 2,384 of you took part! William Freidkin's shocker amassed 16% of the overall vote, some 6% more than second placed The Shining, which incidentally won a OWF critics only poll two years ago. Psycho, which currently ranks as the top Horror movie on IMDB, could only achieve 5th place in our poll with 116 votes.
1. The Exorcist 2. The Shining 3. Alien 4. Halloween 5. Psycho 6. The Thing 7. 28 Days Later 8. Nightmare on Elm Street 9. Jaws 10. Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Danny Boyles' 28 Days Later is the only movie to make the top 10 that was created in the last 25 years.
