The Fourth Wall Is Safe - Deadpool Has Finished Filming

Merc with a Mouth gets to put his feet up.

Hey you. Yeah you, sat on the bus home from work reading this on your iPhone. Or you at home skimming movie news on your laptop while eating your dinner. Or you... erm... boy, breaking the fourth wall is hard. There's not going to be much opportunity to make such obvious/unfunny (take your pick) jokes for a while - Deadpool has finished filming! It was, as with much of the film's development, revealed on Twitter by Ryan Reynolds, who accompanied the announcement with a picture of a "DEADPOOL WAS HERE" carving. The Reynolds-fronted superhero movie has been consistently making headlines since that test footage leaked last year; who'd have thought then that ultra-violent, funny clip would have led to a full feature that'd have completed principal photography in less than a year? Deadpool is out on February 16th, 2016, the first of three movies based on the X-Men that year (X-Men: Apocalypse and Gambit will arrive in May and October respectively). If it's a hit, then it'll be a pretty big moment for the comic-book genre - the film's aiming for an R-rating, something most superhero flicks shy away from. https://twitter.com/VancityReynolds/status/604227442702614528/ Are you excited for Deadpool? Or can you not get over the character's previous butchering in X-Men Origins: Wolverine? And what sort of "samich" is Reynolds going to tuck into? All important questions.
