The Queen trailer

mirrenqueen128.jpgApple have released the trailer for Stephen Frears' conterversial movie The Queen. The film is a look at the death of Princess Diana and how it affected the royal family, both publicly and privately. The movie stars Helen Mirren in the lead role of Queen Elizabeth II, James Cromwell as Prince Phillip and Michael Sheen as Prime Minister Tony Blair. Here is the scoop from Coming Soon... "The film is an intimate behind the scenes glimpse at the interaction between HM Elizabeth II and Prime Minister Tony Blair during their struggle, following the death of Diana, to reach a compromise between what was a private tragedy for the Royal family and the public's demand for an overt display of mourning". After viewing the trailer, I'm really suprised that there hasn't been any press about this movie but I suppose it's not released for another couple of weeks. It has my interest though but i'm not quite sure how seriously I can take the film when the dialogue sounds as fictionalized as it does.
