Thor 2: The Dark World Spoilers - A Major Marvel Universe Character Will Die?

The rumour mill is in full, mischievous swing as filming on the Thor sequel continues in the UK.

The rumour mill has started once again as filming for the Thor sequel The Dark World continues to build momentum here in the UK. According to sources over at Bleeding Cool - who are alleged to be close to the production team - there is an idea floating around the crew that someone is going to be killed off before the end credits roll. This type of speculation is common place on any big production but apparently this is one particular idea that just wont go away. So who exactly is it that will be biting the Asgardian dust next year? Well, unsurprisingly the name that keeps popping up is a big one although the sources stress that this has not been confirmed. Brendon Connelly of Bleeding Cool reveals all ... kinda:

One of our sources was "pretty sure" it's going to be Odin who bites the dust, but we've talked it over and they're a "little less sure" now. I have that effect on people sometimes.

Odin?! An intriguing idea, no? Could Thor's bearded old man actually be the one who takes his final bow by the end of the movie? If so how will it happen and what does that mean for our hammer throwing hero? Likewise, if Odin is a red herring then who exactly could the rumour be referring to? And who's to say it's an Asgardian? Why couldn't it be a human that ends up six feet under? Directed by Alan Taylor, Thor: The Dark World will hit our screens on Nov. 8, 2013 and will once again star Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster), Tom Hiddleston (Loki), Anthony Hopkins (Odin), Idris Elba (Heimdall), Kat Dennings (Darcy) and more.
