This is the home of the †sir ruled by Thor's father Odin that received a bit of screen time in the original film. It is know for its grand architecture that is fitting for the gods. Asgard exists on a planetoid with three of the other realms; Vanaheim, Alfheim and Nidavellirr. Valhalla, the realm of the honoured dead is also located on the planetoid, but it is not considered to be one of the nine realms. The †sir include Thor, Odin, Frigga, Amora the Enchantress, Skurge the Executioner, Fandral and Volstagg of the Warriors Three and Thor's brothers Balder, Vidar, Hermod and Tyr. It has been confirmed that Tyr the God of War will appear in The Dark World played by Clive Russell. The term Asgardian is used in film rather than †sir. Asgardian refers to both the †sir and their sister race the Vanir. Asgardians are not immortal, but they age at an extremely slow rate. They have denser flesh and bones to humans, making them stronger, more resistant to injury and heavier. Asgard is also where Odin's Vault is located, which contains many powerful magical objects. The following objects have been confirmed as being housed in Odin's Vault. The Casket of Ancient Winters The Tablet of Life & Time The Orb of Agamotto The Eternal Flame The Infinity Gauntlet The Warlock's Eye The Tesseract or Cosmic Cube
