4. Someone's Gonna Die
Malekith's voiceover part in the trailer has him asking Thor "what will you sacrifice for what you believe?" This haunting query is mouthed alongside the above image of a helpless-looking Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), perhaps indicating that she will be sacrificed. Though I find this unlikely, given that such a massive giveaway in the trailer would be something of a failure on Marvel's part - and also because Thor would have to be acting very out of character to let her die without a fight. However, it certainly indicates that Thor has to sacrifice someone - or at least some
thing - in order to save the universe. Could he indeed sacrifice Jane? Could it be his brother, Loki? Could it be his parents - Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and/or Frigga (Rene Russo)? Could it even be himself? Regardless, there is certainly a very big indication that someone important and close to Thor is going to die in this movie. I'd be interested to read your thoughts on this one in the comments!
