Black Water Transit, which is set to mark the 5th time
Bruce Willis and
Samuel L. Jackson have worked together is according to
Production Weekly...going through some helmer changes. Back in
November, we reported that
Samuel Bayer was set to make his directorial debut with the flick but after reported "creative differences", it now seems that
Tony Kaye is set to take over. What's extremely interesting is that Kaye himself hasn't directed a movie since
American History X after the problems the guy had over trying to get his name taken off the movie after
Edward Norton re-edited the flick to give himself more screen time. More info from Production Weekly...
Doug Richardson, (Live Free Or Die Hard) scripted the adaptation of the Carsten Strouds novel which is a high-voltage tale of betrayal, revenge, and redemption deeply rooted in the violent underworld of East Coast crime. There's more about the plot of the movie which you can read by
clicking here. It's good to see Kaye bouncing back after his American History X difficulties. Whether or not the final product was exactly what he wanted to bring to the big screen, he should take lots of pride for the work he did on what is a magnificent film. Jackson and Willis' previous team up's include
Pulp Fiction,
Die Hard with a Vengeance and
Unbreakable which are all movies I enjoyed immensely, and here's hoping they still have great chemistry for this new thriller. source -
