Top 10 Tarantino Films Not Directed by Quentin Tarantino

6. Go

Doug Liman's "Go" is pretty much "Pulp Fiction" except for the hipster Generation X crowds who don't mind films that are bland and dramatically limp. Which is not to say the film is bad, it just mimics Tarantino so much it practically copies the story formula beat by beat to a shameless degree. Taking place over the course of one night, "Go" features an assortment of characters who get in to all sorts of trouble and mayhem, all the while the film tells the story in individual segments that manage to intersect and parallel in ways you won't be able to notice unless you're a complete dunce. One thing this movie does have going for it is a rare American leading performance from Sarah Polley, as well as appearances from Timothy Olyphant and Katie Holmes when she was sexy and not under mind control. "Go" is a a watchable movie that values style over substance, and employs the Tarantino shtick to gloss over the uninspiring story and characters.
