Transformers box office update, Bay talks sequel

Transformers is raking in right now. On Wednesday, it's second full day of release the big robot movie took home another $29.1 million which propels the film to a $65.7 million taking. It was clear from the get go this movie was going to be huge but I for one am taken by surprise at how well the film is doing. What this means of course is our attention soon focuses onto a sequel. It's obvious it is going to be made and I'm nearly certain Michael Bay will return to the director's chair to do it. Some quotes from the guy taken from Entertainment Weekly...

Let's see how this one does. I've got a lot of ideas for the next one. There's a lot of really cool, big robot stuff that I had in my head that we didn't do. I just want to see how this works. You might not grow as much as a director . But it's kind of like you have your baby and you don't want someone else to take it. It just takes so long to do a script. A couple things are on the horizon, but I'll do my little movie that I can knock out, because we all think we're going to have a strike.
That would seem to put an end to those expecting Bay to begin work on the Prince of Persia movie right away because that's far from being a "little movie" that he can just knock out. source - superherohype
