Unexpected Death Revealed In New Clips From X-Men: Days Of Future Past Rogue Cut?

Also some mutant lovin'.

July is going to be a good month for superhero fans. Not only are Marvel releasing Ant-Man, which looks to be a strong comedic entry in their Cinematic Universe, but the extended version of X-Men: Days Of Future Past, dubbed the Rogue Cut, is getting a Blu-Ray release. The Rogue Cut has already become somewhat mythical - Anna Paquin's power-stealing mutant featured in the trailers for the film, but her entire subplot was cut from the theatrical version - so expect its release to be met with some fanfare. The Blu-Ray will add seventeen minutes of footage, and, after a brief first look a couple of weeks ago, we now have three clips that show some of Rogue, as well as some more unrelated deleted scenes. There's a brief entanglement between Beast and Mystique that gives their undernourished relationship some screen time, as well as a presumably key scene that cuts between the past and future, with Bobby and Magneto finding a captured Rogue as a younger Eric reclaims his psychic-blocking helmet. However, the most enlightening moment comes from a sequence set just after that - as the trio attempt to escape a Sentinel closes in, Bobby stays back to hold it off. The clip ends before we see what happens, but with the Sentinel rearing up to attack, it certainly doesn't look good for the frozen hero. Will Iceman die in this version? It won't have any long-standing repercussions for the series (the entire alternate timeline is wiped out at the end of the film), but could add some extra emotion to Rogue's new arc. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pT9IOfmGq4A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KqpfdMfqts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vbct0efbScQ X-Men: Days Of Future Past - Rogue Cut is out on Blu-Ray on July 14th.
