Vin Diesel Reveals Where Fast And Furious 8 Is Going To Be Set

Let's hope they don't get stuck in traffic jams.

If you'd said at the start of the year that Furious 7 would earn $1.5 billion at the worldwide box office, making it the fourth highest grossing film of all time (and incredibly close to The Avengers' third place) you'd have been laughed out of the room quicker than it takes for Vin Diesel to get from 0 to 60. And while Avengers: Age Of Ultron may end up taking more, but there's no denying that the real success story of Summer 2015 (already) is the seventh entry in the franchise everybody laughed at when it reached two. So naturally expect the eighth film in The Fast And The Furious series to get a lot of coverage as it gets into gear. Things are already kicking now, with Vin Diesel Instagramming a picture that technically counts as the first official poster. Tagged with #TorettoTuesday (erm... OK?), it looks like this is something Diesel himself has just thrown together (the logo is hardly readable and the release date is basically WordArt), but does reveal a key piece of information - the ever-growing gang is heading to NYC. The big question now is what the film will be called - this is a franchise half of whose charm comes from how they invent new ways to twist the central phrase, after all. Best bet is Furi-8 (and that's still better than 2 Fast 2 Furious). https://instagram.com/p/3KCUXQGPlQ/ As the Instagram post says, Fast & Furious 8 will hit cinemas in Summer 2017 (14th April to be precise). Are you excited for more car action? Or would you rather the series headed to the junkyard? Race to the comments and share your thoughts.
