Barely one month old having opened on May 27th, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is the brand new attraction at EPCOT in Walt Disney World.

The new ride transports you aboard a Xandarian ship and straight into the world of Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket and Groot. The Guardians need your help to stop a huge celestial being called Eson from ending Humanity.

This coaster with a big epic story, takes you on an exhilarating ride through space. A brand new style of coaster for Walt Disney World and accompanied by Star-Lord's awesome mixtape; this is a coaster like no other.

We decided to take a look at the new attraction and find out what's good and what's not so good about the coaster.

Here are our 5 Ups and 2 Downs for Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind.

UPS...

5. The Queue

There's nothing worse than waiting in line and feeling like you are just walking up and down, back and forth, with nothing to keep you interested. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind doesn't have that issue.

The entire queue has something going on. The ride queue has multiple rooms which give you the feeling like you are constantly making progress as you go. Each room has something going on to see and hear. The first room takes you into the Galaxarium, with an amazing "planetarium" style ceiling and sweeping walkways.

Next you'll find yourself in the Xandar Gallery, which has two sections. The first part gives you a glimpse into Xandar itself. Featuring glowing models of a Xandarian city, information on Xandar and an overview of the Xandarian ranking officers. The next section shows short interviews with the Guardians of the Galaxy by the hosts of "Good Morning Xandar”.

Usually when queuing for a ride you will see many groups on their phones playing games together to pass the time. In this queue the only reason people were on their phones was to take photos of the displays.

After this you find yourself in the pre-show Phase Chamber room where you will be transported from Earth and find yourself on board a Nova Corps Starcharter cruiser. Here you will learn all about the Cosmic Generator, a piece of technology that allows ships to jump through space. This is where things don't quite go to plan and you end up needing to help the Guardians of the Galaxy save Earth.

As queues go this is one of the best. You don't feel like you are just waiting around passing the time till you get on. There's plenty to see and take in. This really helps you absorb the ride's story better.
