War Dogs Review: 5 Ups & 4 Downs

A wild, (mostly) entertaining ride.

The Hangover's Todd Phillips is back with his latest bro-fest, albeit one that this time has a little more on its mind.

Pairing Miles Teller and Jonah Hill together to tell the too-good-to-be-true tale of two 20-something men strong-arming their way into the weapons trade is an undeniably hot sell, and critical reception on the whole has been mixed-to-positive for the most part so far.

Though it's fair to say that Phillips perhaps tries a little too often to one-up the more exuberant works of Martin Scorsese, he turns in a comic drama both compelling and stingingly funny, propelled by a well-matched duo clearly having a lot of fun.

It's not perfect, not by a long shot, but mostly delivers on the inspired insanity you should reasonably expect from this cast and crew.

Here are 6 ups and 4 downs from War Dogs...
