WB Decide Batman Has Beaten Superman In Dawn Of Justice

Studio has decided the victor!

To steal a line from Game Of Thrones, "Winter is Coming". The days are getting colder, nights are getting darker and before long it'll be Christmas and 2016 will be within touching distance. Maybe this fact will make you feel like it already is.. 2016's biggest movie Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is only six months away from taking over our multiplexes. The movie is deep into post production and the marketing campaign should go up a gear in the coming weeks. Now's around the time when studios get a little more curious over just what they have spent their big bucks on, and as such, I'm inclined to believe what Heroic Hollywood are calling their "hot rumour" right now. They say that Warner Bros are muscling in on Zack Snyder's film and requesting that more of Batman is featured over his titular co-star Superman. The word is that Ben Affleck's performance as the Dark Knight has blown executives away over Henry Cavill's Superman and it would appear they want audiences to feel like this really is Batman v Superman and not Superman v Batman.

Warner Bros have so much invested in the Batman universe right now that it's of little surprise to hear them positioning the character at the forefront of their products. The Arkham video game series, the forthcoming Batman Lego movie spin-off and indeed, the Suicide Squad movie all have bigger ties to the Caped Crusader than Superman and at the end of the day, he is the character that answered the SOS call after Henry Cavill's Man Of Steel origin movie didn't find an audience the way they had hoped. We should also not forget that Ben Affleck is Warner Bros' darling after the Oscar winning Argo and he is already set to direct and star in a standalone Batman movie that they hope will be as big as the Christopher Nolan movies. Affleck is hot property as an actor after last year's Gone Girl whilst at the other side of the coin, Henry Cavill's co-led The Man From U.N.C.L.E. just flopped on its ass at the WB and cost the studio a decent chunk of change. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is due March 25, 2016... or with WB's interference may it be Batman: Dawn Of Justice... with Superman.
