We are not telling lies, THE FACTTRACKER is picked up!

Upcoming children's book about the arrival of a salesman who turns a fact based world upside down is picked up for The Simpsons Movie director David Silverman.

MGM have acquired the film rights to Jason Carter Eaton's children's book The Facttracker which will be turned into a live-action feature from David Silverman (The Simpsons Movie, Monsters Inc) and will be produced by Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum). The book's author and his writing partner will scribe the script say Variety.

The book is a fable about Traakerfaxx, a town that produces all the facts in the world. The arrival of a salesman who peddles lies throws the town into chaos, and a young orphan and the reclusive Facttracker team up to save the town from becoming a haven for fibs. The book, published in January, was illustrated by Pascale Constantin.
For some reason, although I know it doesn't really relate - I have the idea of Jason Bateman from Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium to play the villain salesman. Material sounds like it might have translated into an animated feature quite brilliantly but we shall see.
