What The New Avengers Costumes Reveal About Endgame

Black Widow's Red Hair

Black Widow's hair looks slightly off here, but the Photoshopping isn't what's important. What matters is that her hair is red again, which it hasn't been since Captain America: Civil War. Even in the Endgame trailers, it's been the same dyed blonde she used to go incognito.

However, look closely and it's clear that the braid is still blonde towards the bottom, meaning that her red hair is growing back out, but hasn't fully. This fits with the time jump that will happen in the movie - long enough for her natural colour to start coming back through, but with the tips still dyed blonde. That means a long time has passed, further confirming a significant time jump.

Also important is the watch on Black Widow's wrist. This is a lot like the ones seen on the white suits, and those the heroes were wearing in the Battle of New York set photos. They're almost certainly linked to time travel and/or the Quantum Realm, and perhaps mean there's a way of transitioning into the new suits too.

Captain America & Iron Man Get More Comic-Accurate Costumes

The costumes for Iron Man and Captain America aren't giving much away, but what is noticeable is just how true they are to their comic book original counterparts.

Steve Rogers is very much back in Captain America mode, and the chainmail on his suit looks great (again typing back to the classic look), while the gold panels on Iron Man's costume are superb as well. The fact that the two biggest heroes in the MCU are, after all this time, being given costumes so close to their classic comic book versions shouldn't be lost either, making it a fitting send-off in what's almost certainly the last time we'll see either of them in the MCU.
