Who Will Play John McClane's Son In A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD?

Liam Hemsworth, James Badge Dale, D.J. Cortuna and Aaron Paul all fighting to play John McClane's son.

Casting on Die Hard 5, or as it's officially titled A Good Day To Die Hard (jeez), is getting fierce. A few weeks back it was reported that Ben Foster, Paul Dano, Milo Ventimiglia and Aaron Paul were all battling it out to play John McClane's son in the new movie but now according to Deadline there is a second round of shortlisting and only one has survived to the next round, Paul, and he might struggle due to his commitments to AMC's Breaking Bad. Deadline name; Liam Hemsworth, brother to Thor's Chris Hemsworth and who himself has a big franchise in the offing with The Hunger Games & appears alongside Willis in The Expendables 2 (which might be his ticket to getting the role) James Badge Dale (The Pacific, World War Z) and D.J. Cortuna, who is always in these casting battles and never wins. as the other three left in the race, alongside Breaking Bad's Paul. The reason why the role is so sought after? Well the thinking for many is that Bruce Willis can't have too many years left in his tank as John McClane so somewhere down the road, perhaps even in the next movie, we will see the passing of the torch (think Harrison Ford/Shia LaBeouf in Indiana Jones 4) and they'll be the ones to take over the high profile series. Set in Russia, the plot revolves around McClane's son who is banged up in prison and McClane goes to bail him out, only to realise they're actually terrorists who have been holding him hostage. McClane€™s first kid hasn€™t been seen since the original Die Hard but he did get an offhand mention in the last film and was actually originally written to be Justin Long€™s computer geek character but then they changed their mind towards the final drafts. A Good Day To Die Hard (which sounds like a Funny or Die skit, no?) will be directed by Hollywood hack John Moore (Max Payne, The Omen & Flight of the Phoenix remakes) from a draft by Hollywood hack screenwriter Skip Woods (The A-Team, X-Men Origins: Wolverine). Filming begins early next year for a release on February 14th, 2013. I have denounced the film twice already, so you all know my thoughts by now.
