Will Ferrell back on form and turning "Semi-Pro"

Ferrell.jpgWill Ferrell's movie career seems back on track this weekend as his new movie Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby took in an estimated $47 million, making it the biggest opening comedy of the year in the states. Though it is questionable how good the movie will do in other countries, as American sport movies tend not to travel oversea's to well. The latest rumour is that Ferrell is in negioations to change sports from NASCAR to basketball to appear in "Semi-Pro". The movie is set in the 1970's and will be written by Scot Armstrong who worked on both "Elf" and "Old School" with Ferrell. Personally, I've only ever found Will Ferrell funny in his small role in the Austin Powers movies. He is part of that rat pack of Steve Carell, Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn and Ben Stiller (although he is talented and can be good on occassion) who's movies I try to avoid. Is anybody else tired of Ferrell? Has his 15 minutes of fame lasted way too long? source - Dark Horizons
