Will The Flash Appear In Suicide Squad?

Where there's lightning...

The Flahs Suicide Squad

Did Comic Con accidentally confirm that Suicide Squad will feature a cameo by another member of the Justice League besides Batman?

As some eagle-eyed fans have spotted, it appears that Barry Allen - AKA The Flash - might appear in order to set up how Captain Boomerang ends up behind bars.

The rumour pre-dates Comic Con, but the footage released at the event has added evidence that looks a little more tangible, thanks to the appearance of some tell-tale lightning in the trailer. It looks like Jai Courtney's wise-cracking Aussie villain is knocked off his feet by the lightning, with an effect that seems incredibly similar to the effects work that appeared in the Justice League teaser when The Flash shows off his powers...

The appearance would actually make sense too. Though most of the Squad are deemed Batman villains traditionally, CaptaiN Boomerang has been more closely affiliated with The Flash since the 60s. So it would make sense that he'd be the one to lock him up.

But then, of course, lightning doesn't always mean The Flash. Sometimes it just means lightning. And sometimes it could just be The Adversary's powers.

Still, it's a nice little idea to have Boomerang's backstory including a flashback of him being taken down by The Flash (even if he's too quick to be seen by the naked eye). It would be even better if Boomerang is actually haunted by the moment, and that's why he's so unhinged.
