The Wolverine 3: 5 Storylines That Could Be Adapted

5. Not Dead Yet

Not Dead Yet The best stories in a character's life are the ones that build upon events long thought to be buried in the past forever. Over ten years ago, Wolverine befriended a marksman called McLeish. Borrowing elements from Deadshot and Kraven, McLeish pondered the idea about how he could kill a man with both a healing factor and adamantium. This seemingly innocent banter turned into a bloody feud when McLeish killed the father of Wolverine's then girlfriend. Hunting down the murderer, the fight ended with McLeish dying in an explosion, satisfying the hero's revenge. Or so it would appear. In the present day, Wolverine barely escapes a trap laid by the White Ghost and realizes that this is one loose end he'll have to struggle to tie up. Since Mangold's sequel will more than likely be a solo feature without any other X-Men characters involved, Not Dead Yet would be a perfect Wolverine story to tell as it deals with all the bread and butter issues fans like, including love and war.

Red Stewart is big fan of the entertainment industry, with insights into film, television, and video games for starters. Despite growing up in the 21st century's era of modernization, he prefers many retro era ideas over the current trends found in many of today's media. Personally he's an introvert who loves reading as much as gaming.
