WORLD WAR Z Set Pics Online!

Set images from the much anticipated zombie movie World War Z, that is currently been shot in sunny Malta leak online.

The Daily Mail have released a plethora of on set images from the much anticipated zombie movie World War Z, that is currently been shot in sunny Malta as we speak. Once shrouded in mystery and rumour the apocalyptic epic escaped the looming development hell of Hollywood as producer and lead Brad Pitt teams up with Quantum Of Solace, & Monster€™s Ball director Marc Forster to deliver one of 2012€™s most exciting blockbusters. Back in 2007 Pitt€™s Plan B Entertainment won the screen rights to Max Brooks€™s novel which tells the story of Gerry Lane (Pitt) travelling across a post-apocalyptic earth interviewing survivors of the great zombie war. The book reads like a collection of first person anecdotes of the trials and tribulations of the zombie invasion, yet screenwriter J. Michael Straczynski (Changeling) has apparently found a way around this less than cinematic structure. Yes, an early script was leaked online some 2 years ago now, and was valiantly reviewed by Ain€™t It Cool News who likened it to Children Of Men with a mouth-wateringly positive response, gushing €˜it€™s a genre defining piece of work that could well see us all arguing whether or not a zombie movie qualifies as Best Picture material€™. Pretty compelling stuff right? The film began shooting a week ago in Malta, which will double as Israel, then the crew moves to equally sunny Glasgow in August which will stand in for Philadelphia, further proof that the recession has well and truly hit the film industry hard, as Philly was dropped due to tax issues. With news on the script and these initial set stills now out to the public, I€™m a tad excited for this project, and with Brad Pitt very much involve I€™ll more than likely be sat in theatres come opening night. Brad Pitt now at the forefront of cinema it would seem as his roles further mature and his production company continue to back hit after hit. Pitt will next be seen in the magical Tree Of Life, out Friday and is already filming Cogan€™s Trade, which like World War Z is set for a 2012 release. Images from World War ZZ below;
