WWE Reading Live Review: 10 Interesting Observations You Need To Know

Y2J, Bellas and a Show Off...oh my!

Chris Jericho returned to the squared circle as World Wrestling Entertainment rolled into Reading, Pennsylvania for another stop on its SummerSlam Heatwave Tour Sunday night. He would be only one of two former Heavyweight Champions on the show, the other being Dolph Ziggler, as star power was at a premium but effort certainly was not. Yours truly was at the show. While the company's most recognizable headliners were in Virginia, giving the WWE Universe a preview of the upcoming Battleground pay-per-view extravaganza, the Reading show was home to some of the numerous members of the company's mid- and under card who typically are not allowed the opportunity to perform on Raw or SmackDown on a consistent basis. With the chance to perform for a hot crowd desperate for a fun and exciting night of WWE action, they worked doubly hard to ensure that their in-ring performances eclipsed a lack of big names and marquee matches. With a lack of John Cena, Kevin Owens, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins to satiate the appetites of those who live and die based on weekly WWE television, it was interesting to sit back and observe the reactions to the night's action, not to mention the interactions between the fans and WWE Superstars.
