X-Men: Apocalypse - 10 Rumours That Mean It Could Be The Best One Yet

If half of these are true, Apocalypse will blow all previous X-films out of the water.

After the massive success of Days Of Future Past, the next X-Men instalment, Apocalypse, is going to have a tough job upping the ante. Fortunately, a ceaseless deluge of rumours can help fans figure out how Apocalypse might just top what was widely regarded as the X-Men's best big screen outing yet. Out of this morass of speculation, a tiny handful of predictions and leaks provide tantalising clues as to how the third film in the 'First Class trilogy' will be the most gripping. For the evidence, fans can rely on director Bryan Singer, who has obligingly provided a couple of cryptic clues to what can be expected, including an Instagram snap of the first page of the script treatment and a piece of concept art. Based on these snippets alone, several convincing rumours have started circulating concerning the opening sequence and the nature of the titular villain. Singer is not alone in carefully leaking vital details, however - the cast and screenwriters are in on the act too. By sifting through the rumours and analysis based on these sources, it seems certain that the forthcoming adventures of Marvel's merry mutants cannot fail to make the last Sentinel-filled epic pale into insignificance.
