Your First Official Look At Benedict Cumberbatch As Doctor Strange Is Here!

And he looks like he stepped right off the page.

Entertainment Weekly, on the forefront of first-look exclusives as ever, have gifted the world our first official look at Benedict Cumberbatch in his full-on Doctor Strange garb, and the results are fantastic. We've got the goatee, the silver temples, the Eye of Agamotto, the blue tunic, the red cape... It's all there! Take a look for yourself below:
EW's Doctor Strange feature drops on newstands (and obviously then, the internet) tomorrow. In it, they promise a reveal of Mads Mikkelsen and Rachel McAdams respective characters in the movie, and we can also expect additional juicy tidbits from the ongoing production. We've also got this nugget from Cumberbatch, concerning the aforementioned gesticulations inherent to the character;
"I€™m still in the infancy of learning all that... It was like, okay, I€™ve got to keep throwing these poses, these spells, these rune-casting things, everything he does physically. I€™m thinking, there€™s going to be a huge amount of speculation and intrigue over the positioning of that finger as opposed to it being there, or there. And I€™m still working on that."
What intrigues me is the special effects they've used on the spell Strange is casting in the picture; is this representative of the final CGI from the movie? Marvel signed off on this image, and it stands to reason they'd want whatever FX that are being used here to be accurate to the movie itself. I think Cumberbatch is a great choice for the part (the only choice, maybe?), and that if anything, he is definitely going to bring a touch of class to the MCU. What do you think of the first official pic? Strike back in the comments below! Doctor Strange is released on 28 October 2016 in the UK, and 4 November in the US.
