10 Achievements You Need To Earn Before The Xbox One Arrives

Xbox One Can you imagine a time in gaming where your successes weren't rewarded with that familiar ding? Achievements seem to have taken over the world since they were first brought to the Xbox 360 in 2005, even appearing on rival platform the Playstation 3 as trophies. While the 360 will continue on after the launch of the Xbox One, it seems fitting to embark on one last adventure before the next gen arrives. Be it though difficulty or popularity, some achievements gain more notoriety than others €“ here are 10 achievements that you should own before the Xbox One finally arrives.

10. Bioshock - Brass Balls

Bioshock Let's start this list off by discussing one of the best games released on the Xbox 360. Bioshock was released way back in 2007 and yet is still hailed as one of the system's greatest titles. Originally an exclusive title (the game was ported to PS3 a year later), Bioshock's story alone makes it a must play game €“ add in the setting, the gameplay and one of the best plot twists in gaming history and you've got a great game. Funnily enough, Brass Balls wasn't actually on Bioshock's achievement list originally. It was added with a Title Update, giving Bioshock a total of 1100 gamerscore. It was also notoriously difficult, requiring you to get through the game on the hardest difficulty without dying. Sadly, the achievement is less rare nowadays thanks to an exploit which allows you to switch difficulty just after beating the final boss and earn the achievement. Still, no matter how you get it, you'll be able to show your Brass Balls off to the world.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
