10 Awesome Old-School Video Games That Deserve HD Remakes

If Bionic Commando can somehow get a HD remake, why not Chrono Trigger?

Recently, video games are slowly going the way of Hollywood movies in terms of getting bigger, darker, and more expensive. Probably the most glaring comparison between Hollywood movies and video games is how both are more and more willing to partake in remakes of classic, older IP. Whilst the movies haven't quite cracked the code of making consistent high quality remakes, video games are doing much better in that regard. Recent remakes and remasters of classic games, such as Final Fantasy X, Ocarina of Time, and Mortal Kombat, have gone over well with fans and developers. And with good reason. Sometimes older games may be difficult to find or near impossible to run in their original states. The repackaging and remastering of an old video game classic will not only serve to satisfy older, existing fans of the game, but it will also bring in a new and younger legion of followers. This in turn leads to a bigger payday for developers and more reason to grant some older classics a long-awaited remake for the newer generation of gamers. Seeing as how even Final Fantasy VII, a classic game considered to be 'un-remakeable' by it's developers, is soon getting a remake, here are 10 other great classic video games that also deserve the HD remake treatment.

My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem. Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh. You can follow me at @Fry_ying_pan but don't be offended if I don't tweet back. It's usually because I've spent too long trying to think up a witty response that the reply window has closed.
