9. Home Improvment: Power Tool Pursuit!

Back in those halcyon days of 16-bit gaming, any property was ripe-for-a-porting and they don’t come much more ‘out there’ than the Super Nintendo’s Power Tool Pursuit! The plot is particularly yawn-inducing, which sees Tim hunting down items from the Binford-Taylor Turbo Power Tool Line as they seem to have gone astray. This involves lots of hopping around various worlds, armed with things like blow torches and chainsaws, on a bizarre scavenger hunt that never seems to end.

Released in the same month as Donkey Kong Country, gamers seemed more interested in pinging Kong and Diddy through mineshafts than they did guiding a weird rendering of Tim Allen through ancient Egypt - yes, of course there was an Egyptian level – and the game was left in many a loft, gathering dust. Yours to purchase at any car boot sale worth its salt.
