10 Best Dark Souls Bosses We Loved To Hate

10. Gravelord Nito

darksouls.wikidot.comNamco BandaiFound in: Dark Souls From the earliest days of video games when people were whipping their way through Dracula's castle as Simon Belmont, the humble skeleton has been a cornerstone enemy of fantasy titles. There are certainly skeletons creaking their way through the many shadowy corridors of the Dark Souls series too, but when it comes to Gravelord Nito, things are a little different. What makes for a more imposing and iconic foe than a skeleton, then? Well, how about a skeleton made up of hundreds of other ones? And if that wasn't enough, why not give him a huge sword with the power to spit magical blades at you from below the ground? Take these two ingredients and you have Gravelord Nito, one of the ancient beings who helped to defeat the immortal dragons of the old world. His home lies beneath the Tomb of Giants, a dark and utterly claustrophobic cavern which forces the player to sacrifice their shield for a lantern, or their helmet for a special piece of headgear that lights up the dark if you're lucky. Nito himself slumbers in his enormous coffin and when the player comes a-calling with a bone to pick (geddit?) he lumbers forth with dark magic in tow to do his darndest at making you wish you'd settled for killing the smaller guys outside instead. All that being said, when Nito isn't defending his home from pesky players... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycXaFbo5974 ...he also puts on a hell of a party.

A young man with a hairy face. Will often tell you that winter is coming before retreating to his mancave to play video games with a wooly jumper at the ready, just in case.
