10 Best Fallout: New Vegas Mods

9. Realistic Weapon Damages

Fallout New Vegas Mood Realistic Weapon DamagesBethesdaDownload So now you've made crafting a little more difficult. What about the combat? Can we add a little more depth and challenge to that as well? With the Realistic Weapon Damages mod, you can, and it's easy as Mississippi Quantum pie! R.W.D. works by tweaking body part data and applying universal damage multipliers across the board. In simpler terms, combat is now deadlier, for you and your foes. Don't expect to get hit in the head ten times in a row without so much as flinching. Forget about charging blindly into the fray like Rambo. With this mod, the wasteland's a much more dangerous place. Headshots are more lethal, and crippled legs are much easier to come by, and when they do, the effects are worse. If you're to survive in this dangerous new world, you'll need to stick to cover and play it safe far more often. Getting hit really hurts, and when you're running low on stimpacks, you can't afford to take chances. Though its changes are minimal, this mod completely overhauls the way you approach combat and exploration, which makes it worth the download if you're a masochist who hates fun and loves dying. A lot.

Ken was born in 1994, and before the turn of the century, he was already a gamer for life, starting with Pokémon Blue Version. He has a passion for storytelling, especially in the gaming medium. Growing up on a healthy diet of JRPGs and point and click adventure games, young Kenny grew up playing Nintendo and Sony consoles, before becoming a snobby member of the PC Master Race. Nowadays, he resides in a time warp, refusing to believe the nineties ended as he fills up his Steam library with old point and clicks and cRPGs.
