10 Best Super Nintendo Soundtracks

9. Spider-Man And Venom: Maximum Carnage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cw-zdPkXbxo Perhaps the most unexpected selection on this list, Maximum Carnage featured some very fitting music. While it may not have the beautiful compositions that other games had, nor the wide variety of instrumentation, this game featured music that was perfect for the level of chaos and carnage that took place. Provided by American rock group Green Jelly, Maximum Carnage's soundtrack relies on heavy metal and punk songs. These songs perfectly match both the surroundings, with most levels taking place in dark alleyways and on rugged streets, and the scenarios, with hundreds of criminals driven to madness. Green Jelly's songs do an excellent job pumping you up, driving you on despite the onslaught of villains. The video game did not use the actual music recorded by Green Jelly, as video game music technology had not reached that point. However, it did use computerized renditions of the songs provided by the band.
