10 Biggest Lies Gamers Tell Themselves

9. It'd Be Rude If I Went To GameStop Without Buying A Game Or Three

It's entirely possible to go to GameStop and window shop, but for a gamer, there's no such thing. We lie to ourselves so we can buy something. There's always something new (or old) that we want to try out, and going into GameStop gives us that chance. Something about the store is just poisonous and contagious. You can't help but want to go if you're within a mile radius. You might tell yourself you don't need to buy any more games, but the store radiates some sort of aura that pulls you towards it. Even if you have no prior desire, the second you enter that radius, you're done for. You tell yourself you'll just go inside to look around, but then once you're in, it's too late. That poison gets to you. And you tell yourself it'd be rude if you looked inside without buying anything. Now that you're already inside, you have to buy something. So you do.
