10 Biggest Snubs From The Game Awards 2017

10. Persona 5

You'll never see this coming.

Although Persona 5 did win the award for Best RPG, unfortunately it was snubbed for one of its best aspects - the music.

Nier: Automata managed to take home that award for Best Soundtrack, and whilst that was certainly a good outcome, it's pretty disappointing for fans of Persona 5's fantastically jazzy and upbeat soundtrack.

Everything from the main theme of Get Up Get Out There to later tracks like Rivers In The Desert all prove to be fantastic listens even detached from the game itself. The vocals from Lyn Inaizumi are a particular stand out, with her inclusion in most of the tracks making the game soundtrack feel completely unique.

The same can't really be said of the other nominees for Best Soundtrack, at least not to the same degree. Every nominee, from Cuphead to Nier: Automata, deserved to win but none so much as Persona 5.

The fact that Persona 5 has a dancing game spin-off that looks legitimately fantastic should speak volumes about the soundtrack.

Jumping through portals, swinging through cities, destroying beings made of darkness and occasionally shooting a gun or two. I also write about games.
