10 Biggest Snubs From The Game Awards 2017

8. Assassin's Creed Origins

Nier 2
Ubisoft

A fantastic re imagining of the stale Assassin's Creed franchise, Origins deserves to be credited for its incredible interpretation of Egypt, its great gameplay renovations and its captivating characters.

Thankfully, The Game Awards 2017 did recognise most of this greatness as it was nominated for Best Action/Adventure game. Unfortunately, it lost out to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which seemed to win most of the categories it was nominated for.

This doesn't really seem fair to Assassin's Creed: Origins, which seemed to show that Ubisoft were finally willing to change up the series substantially and craft an experience worthy of the brand name.

Besides the fact that it represents a movement in the franchise itself, Assassin's Creed: Origins is also a pretty great action/adventure game. With brutal combat and great exploration, Origins certinaly lives up to the genre.

Let's hope that Ubisoft take the momentum from Origins and creates an Assassin's Creed game that's even better.
