8. The Crew 2
The Crew 2 has suffered a similar fate to the first game by being completely forgettable.
Once again like the first game, this isn't for a lack of trying. Both games had some pretty awesome features such as the massive open-world map and the ability to switch vehicles on the fly to mix things up.
Even with these great ideas, The Crew 2 manages to fall short of expectations and ends up being really boring.
The Crew 2 really is the epitome of Ubisoft's design flaws- a huge open map with loads of uninteresting things to do in it. Unless you really love the driving mechanics, you're not going to have any reason to actually go and do what the game wants you to do.
Look at the Forza Horizon games. They don't need a big world because everything you do in them is good fun. Because of this, The Crew 2 sold about half of what the first game did in its first week, with the game only being more forgotten.
What this series really needs is an adrenaline shot in the arm. Why have all these great features if you can't make them any fun?
