10 Botched Features That Almost Ruined Iconic Video Games

9. The Batmobile In Batman: Arkham Knight

Oblivion Dialogue
Rocksteady

For years fans of the Arkham games wouldn't shut up about wanting to drive the Batmobile, but once the developers at Rocksteady finally included the iconic vehicle in their latest game, those same fans quickly realised that they should have been careful what they wished for.

By far the most criticised aspect of the studio's final Batman game, Rocksteady focused too hard on trying to make the Batmobile Arkham Knight's focal point. Diverting attention away from the core stealth and combat of the series, the introduction of lumbering tank missions completely stripped the title of its unique identity and turned it into yet another mindless action game.

Sure, it felt great to barrel around the streets of Gotham at ridiculously high speeds, but it was much less enjoyable when the game forced you to take part in Batmobile puzzles or yet another round of wave defence against boring drones.
