10 Classic Video Games Clocked In Ridiculous Speed-Runs

10. Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Every gamer and their imaginary friend knows that Ocarina of Time took the world by storm when it was released in 1998. The game has been talked about more times than everyone in the world's combined total of hot dinners, and I'm talking about it once again, but for very different reasons. Ocarina is a vast game which can consume your existence for well over ten hours if you truly want to take it all in. The weirdo without a fairy traverses through time to save the world in an exhausting battle of wits and war. Exhausting might be an over-stretch for one Speedrunner who, with the help of glitches, completed Link's quest in a mere 1hr 16mins 59secs. 'Pokey' is the man who holds the record and admits that he embarked on a seven month training process before clocking the time on 30th May 2010. Glitches might sound like cheating but in the Speedrunner world they are allowed if they meet a certain set of rules, but it's possible to skip entire portions of Ocarina. Pokey obviously knows the game with glitches inside out and demonstrates a tremendous back flipping speed throughout his run, rarely running forward at Links slower front facing pace. His lighting fast escape from the forest is now legendary in the community, and a trick that must be used in any speed-run record attempt. Unskippable cut-scenes are not factored into the run time, only the moments that Pokey is in control clocking an exceptional time on an exceptional title. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TuEazJNUnEo
