10 Co-Op Video Games That Created More Enemies Than Friends

8. Left 4 Dead Emphasises Going Solo

Left 4 Dead is a truly great video game that not only perfectly re-creates the zombie apocalypse action dreams of many, but also the experience of being the sole working participant on a school project. Maybe you€™re lucky when queuing into Left 4 Dead and are randomly matched with other competent players €“ or know a few skilled friends in your own life €“ but most of the time a Left 4 Dead run includes some dead weight (pun proudly intended).

Having to constantly resurrect weaker players only to have them somehow miss every zombie in sight and shoot their teammates instead quickly became a staple of the experience. We all like to believe that the zombie apocalypse would bring out the best in ourselves, but Left 4 Dead shows that the strongest will likely abandon the weakest out of sheer annoyance over their inability to work a grenade launcher properly.
