10 Essential Gaming Sequels We Want Announced In 2013

It's a new dawn, it's a new day and it's a new year. We've had a lot of hotly anticipated games announced in 2012, but will 2013 be any different? E3 is 6 months away, giving us more than enough time to hope for some of those much anticipated sequels, but which ones are gamers really looking forward to? Will Square Enix announce a new Final Fantasy game? Will BioWare have some juicy details about Mass Effect 4 and Dragon Age 2? Will Activision have another Call of Du--of course they will, if there's one thing you can rely on it's going to be Activision announcing another FPS game that will having 13 year olds screaming in your ear about the various duties your mother performs on them. I'm really beginning to worry about the future of gaming if Activision can release a game with a few different maps and guns each year and haul in millions within a few days. Would it be too much to ask for them to put some thought into a game? I can imagine their developer meetings now, "Shall we create a new gaming experience for our millions of fans? Shall we create an amazing story-line, intense game-play and a riveting multiplayer experience?" "Nah, let's just recycle last year's game, throw some new maps in and ruin the gaming industry by turning today's youth into mindless zombies who'd rather shoot at each other than play any other sort of game". I mean, doesn't it really just take the cake that....actually, to be honest I'll probably need more than a few articles to say everything I need to about Call of Duty, let's just see which sequels gamers are looking forward to being announced in 2013.

10. Blur

I know there are tons of racing games out there, and to be honest there's not much difference between them all, but one that has stuck with me was Blur. I can put my finger on exactly what makes the game great; it was explosive and addictive. Unlike other racing games which became boring after going round the same track each time, Blur is a game that will leave you staring at the clock in horror that you've been at it for a good few hours after promising yourself just a few races. Sadly Bizarre Creations was closed down during late 2010 by Activision, and chances of a sequel are slim. Still, there have been games that were revived by other developers, so fingers crossed.
